Before
entering that inviting pool, please shower or hose yourself thoroughly.
Sand, soil and sunscreen are very detrimental to pool filters, liners,
tiles and pumping equipment. Oily surfaces can harbor germs as well.
Sand
is a fact of life down here. We actually love and treasure it, but it
can be a nuisance. Don't expect to go home without at least a little of
the stuff in your suitcase or ground into your car's floor mats — no
matter how vigorously you vacuum them!
In
the event you have a healthcare emergency, call 911. We have excellent
hospitals and a number of urgent-care centers along the coast. Your
hotel or motel staff can assist you with transportation, if necessary,
and can direct you to the closest provider. See our
