For more than 16 years, this family-run
business has served the Cape Fear coast with thoughtful and respectful
pet cremations. Ron and Barbara Currie understand the loss of a beloved
pet. They will pick up your pet from the vet or from your home up to 180
miles outside of Wilmington, and return the ashes within two to three
days. If you choose, you may be present at the cremation. Fees for
services vary depending on the animal’s weight and the pick-up
arrangements. You are welcome to stop by and view the business and
discuss arrangements any time.

Pond, and so will your pet. In fact, a replica of Thoreau’s cabin graces
the property along with a quiet pond, creating a picturesque setting for
your pet’s final resting place. Walden Pond Pet Cemetery offers caskets,
a plot, burial and a headstone, with prices beginning at $300. You may
bring your pet yourself, or owners Jere and Barbara LeGwin will pick up
from your vet. The cemetery is always open for you to visit and bring
flowers.
