Sometimes we find them, while other times they find us. They are exotic, ordinary, aristocratic, common, needy, independent, beautiful, ugly, smart and dumb as dirt. We give them shelter and food and they give us joy and a lifetime of unconditional love. Our pets are our children, our playmates, our friends, extensions of ourselves and often the creatures we’d most want to be if we weren’t humans. We want the best for our pets in healthy food, activities and services. After all, they’re part of the family and nothing is too good for our family.
Whether your pet is canine, feline, avian, ichthyic, reptilian, or other, the southern coastal area has a wide variety of shopping and services available to keep Fido, Fluffy or Mr. Chips happy and healthy. There are places to board your pet, walk your pet, buy food for your pet and take your pet when he is sick or injured. When your pet has had his final run, there are even places where he can rest for all eternity. Caring for your pet is a responsibility, but it is also a joy and a privilege. Perhaps of all the things we can learn from our pets, the most important thing is to play more -- so put down the remote, get out of that chair and go get the ball.
