Marsh Harbour Inn is a beautiful inn
conveniently located in Harbour Village. You'll be charmed by Cape Cod
rockers, Shaker beds and antique wood floors that give each room a simple
appeal. Many of the inn's 15 rooms have private decks overlooking Bald Head
Creek or the Cape Fear River, so you can start the morning with a golden
marsh sunrise or end the day watching the sun set over the marina. Rooms
contain one queen-sized bed, two queen-sized beds or two twin beds. A
handicapped-accessible room is also available. All rooms offer a television,
telephone and a private bath complete with thick towels and fine soaps.
Included in your stay are generous continental breakfasts, afternoon snacks,
use of an electric golf cart and temporary membership in the Bald Head
Island Club. Other inn amenities include fax services and golf bag storage.
Both children and groups are welcome, for weeks at a time or just one night.
For groups, Marsh Harbour Inn also offers meeting rooms with seating for up
to 25. It's a delightful place to enjoy a corporate retreat or wedding party
(see our

Theodosia's Bed and
Breakfast

Harbour Village on Bald Head Island

Be sure to schedule a stay at the island's first bed and
breakfast inn. Theodosia’s Victorian architecture is set against the Bald
Head Island Marina, the Cape Fear River and island creeks and marshes. The
decor in the 10-room inn is a blend of Victorian and West Indies motifs.
Each room has a king or queen bed, a luxurious bath, a TV and VCR, a
telephone and wireless Internet access. Some rooms have breath-taking vistas
from private balconies. The main-floor guest room is handicapped-accessible.
Two rooms occupy the adjoining Carriage House. Carson Lawrence, co-owner
with her parents Gary and Pam Lawrence, manages the inn with a dedicated and
professional staff, including an executive chef. Gourmet breakfasts and
delightful baked goods are featured each morning at tables set for you. Hors
d'oeuvre are served in the afternoon. Guests are furnished with
complimentary golf carts and bicycles (the only means of transportation
allowed on the island) and a temporary membership to the Bald Head Island
Country Club. The inn was named in honor of the daughter of America's most
famous duelist, Aaron Burr. She disappeared off the North Carolina coast in
1812, and her ghost is said to fancy Bald Head Island these days. |
