Golf Tips

Look carefully before you stomp into the marsh or tall grass to chase after a ball gone astray. There are a number of species of snakes on the Outer Banks. They're pretty good about sharing the habitat, as long as the humans keep a respectful distance.

In helping to maintain course quality, please remember to repair your ball marks. A repaired mark will take from three to five days to heal, while one ignored will take up to three weeks.

If you're going to wear spiked golf shoes, make certain that the spikes are not made of metal. All area courses have this requirement to better preserve the greens.

The Currituck Club's web site, www.thecurrituckclub.com, offers a virtual golf course, enabling you to click on any hole to see a visual depiction, and to receive information and tips for such concerns as approach shots and water hazards.
