Want
some free reads for the beach? Collect your old paperback books and visit
the Bogue Banks Public Library, 320 Salter Path Road, MM 7, Pine Knoll
Shores, (252) 247-4660. You may choose up to 10 paperbacks from the
library’s Trading Post. All that’s required is for you to trade in as many
books as you take.
Some
of the area publications offer coupons for use in local shops and
restaurants. These publications can be found in display racks in
high-traffic locations throughout the towns or by stopping by one of the two
Crystal Coast Visitor Centers at 3409 Arendell Street in Morehead City or
off N.C. Highway 58 just before crossing the bridge to Emerald Isle.
Shopping
during the off-season is a great time for sales. Many local stores offer
huge discounts during this time of year, so it's worth checking out. Just be
sure to call ahead as some of the stores have limited off-season hours.
