When
you’re in doubt about directions, stop and ask a local. Chances are you’ll
meet a friendly person and learn a lot about the area.
Stop
by the Crystal Coast Visitors Center, 3409 Arendell Street (U.S. Highway 70
E.), Morehead City, to pick up a free street map of Morehead, Beaufort,
Swansboro, Atlantic Beach, Down East, Newport and many of the area’s other
towns.
Out
of the eight species of sea turtles found in the Indian, Pacific and
Atlantic oceans, the coast of North Carolina sees five of these incredible
marine reptiles: Leatherback, Atlantic Ridley, Green Turtle, Hawksbill and
Loggerhead.
